Responsibilities - Sales Manager:

  • Help lead the day-to-day operations of the sales department
  • Desk deals and maximize the profitability on each deal
  • Set and monitor monthly sales targets for individuals and the team
  • Train, coach, and develop sales consultants to improve performance and customer satisfaction
  • Assist in hiring, onboarding, and retaining top sales talent
  • Own the CRM – analyzing reporting, monitoring salespeople’s activities, assessing internet closing percentages, etc.
  • Listen to sales calls and provide training and coaching to sales professionals to maximize performance of inbound sales calls – effectively transitioning customers to the physical showroom.
  • Ensure that internet leads are handled timely, answering questions, providing information and setting an appointment for the customer to visit the store
  • Manage the follow-up with internet leads and phone calls to ensure that salespeople follow long-term follow up processes
  • Seamlessly transition customers from the phone and internet contact to their in-store experience
  • Manage the negotiation process with Sales Professionals, ensuring that customers understand their vehicle purchase options and pricing
  • Appraise vehicles for trade
  • Engage in dealership traffic management – customers walking into the showroom, calling into the dealership, or submitting internet leads
  • Ensure that salespeople follow up on service upgrade opportunities and ensure targeted monthly sales from the service department

 

Qualifications/Requirements - Sales Manager:  

  • Previous Automotive Sales Management experience required 
  • Proven track record of team leadership, sales success, and customer satisfaction
  • Cutting edge CRM & DMS!
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Positive, motivating management style that sets high standards
  • Results-oriented and data-driven, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.
