Role & Responsibilities: The responsibilities and duties described here are representative of those a Group Fitness instructor must perform. This is not a comprehensive list and other duties may be assigned. General Responsibilities: Serve as an Instructor and provide members an amazing Group Fitness experience. Engage in marketing and social media outreach and participate in events to gain a loyal following of Chelsea Piers Fitness members. Act as a Brand Ambassador for Chelsea Piers Fitness. Provide excellent customer service, externally and internally. Participate in special and member events as scheduled, virtually and in-person. Maintain operations protocols in classes. Complete all administrative requirements associated with class preparation. Qualifications Qualifications: 30-hour Mat Training Certificates (Mat 1 & Mat 2). Minimum 3 months experience teaching fitness classes. CPR & AED Training. At least 2 years of teaching group fitness classes preferred. High-energy, personable and passion for fitness with a team-first mentality. Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Teams. Strong communication skills. Reliability. Work Schedule: Must have the flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule including weekend, holiday and early morning/midday/late evening weekday availability.
