As a Software Engineer Lead within PNC's Marketing, Communications and Engineering Systems (MCES) organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or Strongsville, OH. The position is primary based in a location within PNC's footprint.

• Provides detailed technical design and development of software solutions using existing and emerging technology platforms.
• Writes code, tests, debugs, and deploys software working with Agile teams.
• Monitor, maintain and support systems and software to ensure stability and compliance to technology standards.
• Performs maintenance, including installation of upgrades with an understanding of the production environment and goal of continuous availability.
• Incident detection, resolution and/or escalation. Conducts root cause analysis and correction resulting in prevention.
• Monitors systems availability, performance, and capacity against baseline metrics and reports trends. Reports out information to support stabilization.
• Develops in depth knowledge of supported systems and applications and transfers knowledge to more junior staff.
• Reviews coding, testing, and documentation prepared by peer team members
• Influences, leads, and supports compliance with technical design and development of software solutions
• Continuously evaluates industry best practices, contributes to organization best practices, and supports oversight of applied practices
• Actively participate in all Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate closely with the Application Owner, Application Manager, Application Tech Lead, Product Owner, and other BSAs to prioritize the backlog, manage dependencies, and ensure alignment on project goals.
• Support the Quality Engineer team in validating that the implemented rules and features meet the business requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Support the Site Reliability Engineer team and developers in trouble shooting application issues

- Testing Tools - Postman, SOAP UI
- Working in Agile Teams (SAFE Agile experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with tools like Jira, Confluence, Alation.
- Working with a full stack development team (Preferably Java, ETL, Mainframe (COBOL/DB2))
- Experience with Marketing applications (Pega Customer Decision Hub, Salesforce, Adobe)
- Experience with SaaS based solutions
- Financial Services industry knowledge.

Pay Transparency

Base Salary: $102,000.00 – $138,000.00

Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education. This role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.
